After learning about stormwater in activity 2, students grade 5 and up can practice their understanding of statistics and probability.
After printing the data sheet, use it while exploring probability by watching our video of the stormwater Plinko game. There are nine outcomes and we’re hoping our “raindrop” ball lands in a swale or plants so it can get filtered. Can you figure out what the probability is that we’ll get those on each round? After watching ten trials shown on the Stormwater Plinko Video, students will determine if the actual results were close to the probability. Find out for yourself!
